I am Coach Nancy, and I know what it’s like to struggle with fitness. One day in 2012, I went on a hike with my son and was huffing and puffing up a hill when two women ran past while chatting. That was enough! The next day I started running (30 seconds at a time). I eventually started working with a coach who helped me to achieve the dream of running the prestigious Boston Marathon. With the encouragement of my former coach, I became a certified coach through Road Runners of America (RRCA). Because the strength training aspect of running – as well as dialing living – is so important, I am also a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I would like to help you achieve your running and fitness goals. We use the FinalSurge Online Coaching Platform, which means that I can coach you no matter where you live!

Running the Ray Miller 50k in December 2017. I ran it again in 2019, and it was a complete mud-fest!
Other stuff…
I’m married to Scott. We have two adult children and a three-legged chihuahua and a boxer-bulldog mix puppy. We all run! Well, except for the chihuahua!
I am also a pastor at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Preschool in Oxnard, CA. We live in an old Craftsman Bungalow, which we have restored and are now enjoying.
In addition to Boston, I’ve run 11 marathons, for a total of 12. I’ve run two 50k’s, numerous half marathons, a few 10k’s, and lots of 5k’s. At the end of this year, I will be running my next goal race, which is the California International Marathon and also planning to complete 100 miles with my daughter at the Born To Run 4-day event. Woohoo! By the way, 5k’s are the hardest races… for me at least!

In case you are wondering…here are a couple before photos. You too can change your life through running…and eating real food.

While I was still active when heavier, I don’t want to go back to this…
